Our opposition today is the Willenhall RFC. from Staffordshire who currently lie 10th in the League with just 3 wins from 11 games. We welcome them to Marlpool Lane and look forward to a good game of rugby and a few convivial pints together in our clubhouse afterwards.

Willenhall started their league campaign back in November with an away defeat at Newport (Salop) 36-29, followed by a home defeat to KCs 29-36 and a win against Wolverhampton, 22-5. In December they lost at home to Burntwood 13-44, lost at Telford 27-24 (close!) and so went into the New Year with just one win under their belt. In January Willenhall lost narrowly at home to Shrewsbury 22-24 then beat Stafford at home 24-14, followed by a loss at Veseyans 26-15. February brought a heavy defeat at Sutton Coldfield 70-10 but they bounced back with a home win over Newport – 10-8 – avenging the earlier defeat.On February the 22nd of February Willenhall played Spartans away and lost 50-24.

No match for the Firsts last Saturday but back in action today and looking forward to a good game. See you on the touchline and in the clubhouse afterwards!
