After their scheduled fixture at Evesham was called off by the home side,KC’s travelled instead to Gloucestershire for their second pre-season warm up game to take on new opponents who have enjoyed two successive promotions and now play in the South West league at the same level as Kidderminster.
The match, again played over four twenty minute sessions, provided an excellent work-out for KC’s squad of twenty players and they came away from the very competitive encounter with a narrow 33-29 win.
Try scorers were Chris Pinner (2),Ryan Tiene,Jake Shellis and Freddie Morgan with conversions added by Sam Taylor (3) and Pinner.
Next Saturday’s scheduled North Mids Shield tie has been conceded by Ludlow and KC’s are now hoping to arrange an alternative fixture.
